Kimberlé Crenshaw keynote speaker at Critical Race Theory conference

On April 2, 2009, AAPF co-founder Kimberlé Crenshaw was the keynote speaker at the University of Iowa College of Law, for the 20th Anniversary of Critical Race Theory. The conference CRT 20: Honoring Our Past, Charting our Future, gave Prof. Crenshaw the opportunity to reflect on the important hard fought battles that have created the achievements of today, coupled with insight that there still remains work to be done. Prof. Crenshaw was awarded with a special honor due to her pioneering work of founding CRT as a discpline and as an academic movement.
