AAPF Co-Founder Kimberlé Crenshaw celebrated the historical inauguration of Barack Obama at the Inaugural Peace Ball in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, January 20th, 2009. She delivered a speech to commemorate the inauguration, as well as the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Her speech at the Peace Ball was given additional exposure when Ms. Crenshaw lent her commentary to The Huffington Post. Below is an excerpt:
